1. Making Existing Disabled Bays Official

The council plans to make several current advisory disabled parking bays permanent. These are located on:

  • Belfield Road (Pembury)
  • Canterbury Road (Pembury)
  • Culverden Park (Tunbridge Wells)
  • Montgomery Road (Tunbridge Wells)
  • Rusthall Road (Rusthall)
  • Tunnel Road (Tunbridge Wells)
  • Northgrove Road (Hawkhurst)

2. Updating Restrictions Where Old Markings Are No Longer Needed

Albion Road (Tunbridge Wells)
  • Old vehicle access marking removed
  • Replaced with: 2‑hour Limited Waiting (8am–6pm) + Permit Holders B (8am–6pm)
Dudley Road (Tunbridge Wells)
  • Old vehicle access marking removed
  • Replaced with: 1‑hour Limited Waiting (8am–5pm) + Permit Holders C (8am–8pm)
Norman Road (Tunbridge Wells)
  • Disabled bay no longer required
  • Replaced with: Permit Holders B (10–11am & 2–3pm)
Park Street (Tunbridge Wells)
  • Motorcycle bay removed
  • Replaced with: Permit Holders D (Mon–Sat, 10–11am)

3. Why These Changes Are Being Made

  • To improve safety and traffic flow
  • To formalise disabled bays where residents have requested it
  • To remove outdated or unused road markings
  • To keep permit and short‑stay restrictions aligned with how people actually use the streets
