This brief questionnaire relates to Hackney Carriages and Private Hire Vehicles in the Tunbridge Wells Borough Council area. Completion of the questionnaire normally takes no more than 3 minutes. The information provided will be used to assess the level of quality of hackney carriage services in Tunbridge Wells and identify any potential improvements which would benefit the public.
There are two broadly defined types of vehicle, which operate for hire in Tunbridge Wells. These are Hackney Carriages and Private Hire Vehicles, sometimes known as mini cabs.
Hackney Carriages have a “TAXI” sign on the roof and may be seen waiting on taxi ranks. Private Hire Vehicles do not have a TAXI sign on the roof.
(Some Hackney Carriages which are licensed in other areas may operate in Tunbridge Wells as Private Hire Vehicles)
