Tunbridge Wells Borough Council is proposing to introduce three new car club bays in Tunbridge Wells. A car club is a service where people can borrow a car when they need one instead of owning their own vehicle. The aim is to reduce the number of cars on the road and help protect the environment.
The proposed car club parking bays would be located in Mount Sion (outside Lizanne Court), Prospect Road and St Lukes Road. These spaces would be reserved for car club vehicles and other cars would not be allowed to park there.
Before making a final decision, the council wants to hear what local people think about the proposals. Information about the plans can be viewed at The Amelia Scott or online from 22 October 2026. Anyone can send comments, support or objections to the council before the consultation closes at noon on 16 November 2026.
How to respond: Comments, objections or messages of support can be emailed to TROResponses@tunbridgewells.gov.uk by noon on 16 November 2026.
